"Live To Give"

I am deeply honored and pleased to announce that Grand President Jane Dianda has appointed me as Chairperson of a restructured committee formerly led by our dear friend, the late Past Grand President Richard Valli and referred to as the “Organ Donor Awareness” program.
Expanding on Richard’s mission, this committee will be working to increase understanding and knowledge regarding not only organ and tissue donation, but the bone marrow/stem cell registry and setting up of blood drives in your local ICF branches and districts. We are so fortunate to also have on this committee Laurice Levine, Thalassemia Outreach Coordinator for Children’s Hospital in Oakland and Al Teglia, Past Grand President and Central Council Life Member Emeritus.
Sharing their background and knowledge while serving as Members-at-Large will be Lisa Crudo, Br. 343 Castro Valley and Eileen Fritsch, Br. 391 San Jose and Donate Life Ambassador for the California Transplant Donor Network.
We will be setting up a LIVE TO GIVE branch program in 2012 and are looking for eager and willing members to serve as branch chairpersons for the committee. Each month we hope to bring you enlightening and thought-provoking information that you can share with your family, friends and neighbors. Along the way, we’ll have some fun too. So, be looking for more to come from this exciting new committee in future Bolletino issues.
